Tanekai Entertainment is a blog about polynesian musical artist's expanding their musical talents beyond just the typical Jahwaiian Reggae or the stereotypical polynesian styles of music that we all love and are hooked on. This is not to say that Hawaiian Reggae and those other beautiful styles of music are not respected and loved. This is just a blog about other unique artists who are rooted in the polynesian culture who are breaking into different genre's and are repping it up for polynesians around the world. It is possible to do, and here is one group, whose lead singer/ guitarist, has done just that. Recently featured in Orlando The city's magazine, There for tomorrow, is floating their way to the top. They have toured the states a several times and are now gearing up for the vans warp tour hitting up every major American town on the way... They were also the recent winners of MTV U's Woodie Award.
Maika Maile the lead singer and ld guitarist has family from Nukunuku and Nomuka Tonga.
